Meet Catherine Rocheleau, MBA, RD

Hi, I’m Catherine Rocheleau, a Registered Dietitian, aunt, great-aunt and avid fan of hockey, any Team Canada, & a self-proclaimed “Olympaholic”.

I help people with digestive concerns prevent, manage, and improve your gut challenges.

One of my key motivators is how nutrition support plays a pivotal role in digestive
disorders and diseases. It’s like finding the missing pieces of a puzzle and finding the right piece so you feel better. It’s more than just adding or deleting a specific food or nutrient.

Are bloating, constipation, diarrhea or heartburn upsetting your day?

If you said yes, you’re not alone!  Digestive disorders have a significant impact on your life as you experience pain, bloating, burping, irregular bowel movements, and other symptoms. In my mind, nothing is worse than not being able to eat what you love.

Did you know diet and nutrition play a role in the onset, perpetration, and management of many digestive disorders and diseases?

My clients generally come to me after a new diagnosis or after a long journey of trial and error with no improvement. The information related to digestive issues is abundant and can leave you overwhelmed or confused. It’s hard to know what approach to use, what’s effective, and when you can get back to normal.

The sad fact is that you’ve most likely travelled a long road before receiving a diagnosis. Whether you have G.E.R.D (reflux), S.I.B.O., irritable bowel disorder, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, ulcers, liver, gallbladder diseases, or celiac disease, your journey probably has been painful and frustrating.  Digestive disorders & diseases are often under diagnosed even though they’re highly prevalent and have a major impact on your quality of life.  The biggest barrier – no one wants to talk about the symptoms they’re experiencing.

How did I land on digestive health as an expertise?

Can I say it happened by fluke?  I can’t count the number of times people came to me with numerous diet guidelines or recommendations from other professionals – only to think they couldn’t eat anything and not knowing how it would help. This frustrated me. Even my own family, and many friends, have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, severe heartburn (GERD), diabetes, liver disorders, and more.  It was like I was chosen for this specialty – rather than me choosing it.

Over the years, as my understanding each condition associated with digestive disorders has been learned and honed, my client’s have provided me the most important information – their feedback. Every follow-up has allowed us to collaborate and tweak their personalized nutrition plan in a way that leads to better health.

You are the most important part of my practice! With me, you’ll experience an interactive appointment where I bring the best nutrition research & guidelines and practical strategies that allow you to understand what you’re experiencing, why it’s happening, and how my recommendations will move the needle forward. My strong belief that food is the cornerstone of good nutrition and health anchors my advice to what I believe will work for you. In fact, I’m never satisfied until you’re feeling better and eating what you love.

I love helping people find a solution and eat what they love. You bring the critical information needed for us to reach your health goals.

Every session will reflect two of my core values: integrity and continual improvement. By staying current and practicing with integrity and authenticity, I’ll bring my best to your session, each and every time!
