I get it. My Sweetheart hates to cook. But as a single Dad, cooking is a necessity. It takes him a lot of time and effort to make a meal. He finds it very frustrating. When I first started staying with him, I saw why. His kitchen was set up so awkwardly. I’m a good cook. And, on top of that, I like to cook. But at his place, even the simplest food preparation was slow and left me feeling frustrated. (We won’t even talk about the situation for washing dishes!)
If I wasn’t a dietitian, I’d likely be a professional organizer. Nothing makes me happier than seeing everything in it’s place and a place for everything. (I secretly watch the Kardashians just to catch a glimpse of their super-organized pantries and closets). But, it doesn’t take a Kardashian-Jenner budget for an in-home private chef, a fleet of nannies, and whomever else they’ve got on their house staff payroll.

You’ll get a pre-call with me. In this one-on-one video call with me I’ll find out more about who’s in your household and find out the details of your busy life. We’ll also start determining your strengths and what barriers you face in achieving healthy eating easily. We’ll also schedule our full day together.
Before our day together you’ll complete forms gathering details of your health background. And, record a food and lifestyle journal in our secure online portal.
One full day (9am-3pm) of one-to-one time in your home with me, (Kristen). Where we’ll do:
Everything in our Nutritional Insight Session: An in-depth review of your personal information to create your custom nutrition plan. With a thorough discussion so you’ll know what you need to do to meet your nutrition needs. And, the science behind the recommendations.
Set up your home environment for success. We’ll get your kitchen organized, (yes, inside your fridge & freezer too).
Implement a streamlined grocery shopping system.
Cook a few simple recipes together.
Lunch & walk. Yes - we'll be putting your plan into practice starting today.
Push the recharge button. Invest in yourself for $2000 (no tax). Live outside the Victoria area? I’ll travel to you anywhere in British Columbia, you simply cover the travel expenses.

Is ongoing support available?
Yes. You can purchase an exclusive follow-up version of our Like the Way You Look and Feel 6-month service package where you and I meet 1:1, twice a month, for 6 months, to ensure that your healthy habits stick. And, we eliminate any bad habits, such as snacking and cravings.
Will I have to become a meal-prepper?
No, you don’t have to give up an entire day of your precious weekend to do meal prep. We’ll find easy ways to streamline your planning and simplify cooking so you don’t have to do a panicked run to the grocery store to figure out something for dinner.
I have a health condition. Will you take that into consideration?
Yes. I customize each person’s service to fit both your body’s needs and your busy life. That being said, when we have the consult call, we’ll talk about your health conditions, so I can determine whether this service is a good fit for you.
Do I get a meal plan?
No. You won’t receive a meal plan telling you to eat recipe #1 for breakfast, recipe #2 for lunch etc. Instead, I will empower you by teaching you how to make healthy food choices. Not making you reliant forever on me and my meal plans (or, expecting you to eat the same 4-week meal plan for the rest of your life).
Will you make me eat foods that I hate?
Of course not. But you will need to eat vegetables ☺
I have food allergies/sensitivities. Will it work for me?
Yes. I customize your actions to meet your nutrition needs while making sure it works for your body. We’ll discuss food allergies, sensitivities, and any food preferences/restrictions in our pre-call.
My kids/ partner/ parents live with me. Will you take their needs into consideration?
Yes, I customize solutions to your household – both the people who live there and the physical layout.
Does my health plan cover the cost?
Many health plans and health spending accounts cover registered dietitians. Check to see what your plan covers by reading your coverage document/app or calling your plan’s customer service number. If you have coverage, I will provide you with receipts that you submit for reimbursement.
