I get it. I’m in my mid-40’s now and I run a busy practice. My body has changed. I can’t eat the way that I used to in my 20’s. (And, I don’t have 4 hours to spend in the gym 7-days a week). After my divorce, I watched the scale creep higher and higher. I was completely drained. I tried to sooth my exhaustion, emotional pain, and loneliness with cookies, cupcakes, bread, and cheese (and tubs of ice cream too).  I knew better – I mean I have a Masters of Science degree in Nutrition, yet even I couldn’t control myself.

One-on-One Dietitian Service Package

You’ll receive 12 private, confidential, one-on-one sessions where you’ll improve your habits one-by-one, so that you have the energy you want and feel good in your clothes. 

Before our first session, you’ll complete a food diary and health questionnaire. I’ll create your personalized action plan to fit your body’s needs AND your busy life. You benefit from the science of nutrition, the psychology of food choices, and the science of behaviour change all expertly applied to your life. This way, you won’t need to count calories, points, or track your food in an app. 

Every 2 weeks, for 6 months, we’ll meet for one-on-one 30-minute sessions over a secure video call system.

In each of our 12 sessions:

  • We’ll overcome barriers to making healthy changes (e.g. false thinking, self-sabotage, unsupportive people in your life).

  • You’ll get an assignment of one action from your personalized action plan.

  • We’ll cover food choices, supplements, hydration, and lifestyle habits that affect weight and health (e.g. blood sugar) to implement over the next 2 weeks.

Over the course of the 12 sessions, you’ll build a NEW LIFESTYLE, one step at a time. Each action is small and straight-forward. So that it seamlessly fits into your busy lifestyle.

When you look back in 6 months from now, you’ll be so glad that you made this smart choice and not even recognize the old person you were. You’ll finally understand the missing pieces.

 FAQ’s

Is this a group program?

No, it’s just you and me. Working, one-on-one, privately, twice a month for 6 months to get you on the path to a stable, healthy weight.

I have a health condition. Will you take that into consideration?

Yes. I customize each person’s action plan to fit both your body’s needs and your life. That being said, when we have the consult call, we’ll talk about your health conditions, so I can determine whether this service is a good fit for you. If it isn’t, I will do my best to refer you on to the person who can help you.

Do I get a meal plan?

You won’t receive a meal plan telling you to eat recipe #1 for breakfast, recipe #2 for lunch etc. Instead, I will empower you by teaching you how to make healthy food choices. Not making you reliant forever on me and my meal plans (or, expecting you to eat the same 4-week meal plan for the rest of your life).

How much weight will I lose?

What I guarantee is that you will create healthy habits. I can’t predict much weight you will lose as you adopt the habits. I trust that when you have a healthy lifestyle, your body will drop any extra weight that it is carrying and it will arrive at a weight that it’s happy at when you’re living healthfully. 

I’m vegetarian. Will you make me eat meat?

Absolutely not. I customize your actions so that you meet your nutrition needs eating foods that fit your ethics, religion, and cultural ways.  

Will you make me eat foods that I hate?

Of course not. But you will need to eat vegetables ☺

I have food allergies/sensitivities. Will it work for me?

Yes. I customize your actions to meet your nutrition needs while making sure it works for your body. In the questionnaire that you complete before our first session, I ask you about food allergies and sensitivities. 

Does my health plan cover the cost?

Many health plans and health spending accounts cover registered dietitians. Check to see what your plan covers by reading your coverage document or calling your plan’s customer service number. If you have coverage, I will provide you with receipts that you submit for reimbursement.
